247Sports is proud to announce the launch of Bama247, the new home for team and recruiting coverage of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Led by a group of five experienced and dedicated journalists,Bama247 promises to deliver the best and most comprehensive coverage of Alabama football, basketball and recruiting.

Alabama fans are as passionate and knowledgeable as any in the country and, in assembling this Bama247 team, we sought to give those fans what they deserve,” said Adam Stanco, Vice President of Content Strategy at 247Sports. “Bama247 is made up of diligent workhorses who will relentlessly pursue every morsel of intel on the Tide and their recruiting efforts.Fans in Tuscaloosa obviously know what talent looks like, and this team is truly talented.”

KIRK McNAIR - The veteran of the team and a familiar name to all of you,McNair has covered Alabama athletics for more than 50 years. He has attended more than 600 Crimson Tide football games - more than anyone in history. He is one of 16 inductees in the Alabama Sports Writers Hall of Fame. A member of the 247Sports staff for the past five years, McNair began his career with the Birmingham Post-Herald where he was named assistant sports editor at the age of 24. In 1970 he joined Alabama’s sports information office as an assistant and in 1974 was named sports information director. In 1979 he founded ’BAMA, Inside The Crimson Tide magazine and newsletter and its Internet site, BamaMag.com. His books include “What It Means To Be Crimson Tide” and “Gamechangers: The Greatest Plays in Alabama football history.”He has won awards both for media guides and football programs as an SID and for football and basketball writing, including the Alabama Sports Writers Association's (AWSA) Most Outstanding Enterprise for his five-part series on Paul Bryant’s role in desegregation of Alabama athletics.

JOHN TALTY -Taltyis an award-winning journalist and best-selling author who has focused on Alabama athletics and the Southeastern Conference for much of the last decade. Last year, he wrote the Wall Street Journal best-selling book “The Leadership Secrets of Nick Saban: How Alabama’s Coach Became the Greatest Ever." Before coming to 247Sports, Talty was the senior sports editor and SEC Insider for AL.com where he broke news on the SEC, covered three Alabama national championships and wrote in-depth unique stories about college sports. Before AL.com, he covered Ole Miss, Mississippi State and recruiting for The Clarion-Ledger and sports business for the International Business Times. MIKE RODAK -Rodak covered University of Alabama sports for AL.com from 2019-23, and is a member of both the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA). Mike began his reporting career in 2010 for ESPN, contributing to ESPNBoston.com's coverage of the New England Patriots. He was part of ESPN's team that covered Super Bowl XLVI in February 2012, and covered the arrest of Aaron Hernandez for murder in 2013. After graduating from Providence College, Mike became ESPN's Buffalo Bills reporter as part of the company's launch of NFL Nation in 2013. He covered the Bills for ESPN.com while appearing on SportsCenter and other ESPN programming. In 2018, he served as the Buffalo chapter president of the Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA). CODY GOODWIN - Goodwin joins 247 from Iowa. He spent the last seven years at the Des Moines Register, where he earned statewide and national awards while covering high school, college, and Olympic-level wrestling. He also covered Iowa and Iowa State football as well as high school sports and recruiting. Before the Register, he wrote for the Ames Tribune for a year,and The Daily Iowan as a student at the University of Iowa. Cody is a native of Kansas City, Mo., and loves podcasts, good barbecue, and the Chiefs. He's excited to watch and cover more SEC football after watching a combination of the Big Ten and Big 12 for the last 30 years.Cody will officially start on Monday, June 5.You can follow him on Twitter @codygoodwin

BRETT GREENBERG -Greenberg is a 2022 graduate of Alabama and has extensive experience covering Crimson Tide Athletics - most notably being the Tuscaloosa News beat writer for the Alabama softball team. Brett has experience covering a multitude of prep sports throughout Alabama and in the greater Atlanta area. For the last year he has been a Digital Content Producer for the CBS TV affiliate in Mobile. Brett is thrilled to cover his alma mater for years to come.
