Why is my Twitch clipping not working? ›

Click retry, refresh the page, close and re-open the app or browser, disable browser add-ons or extensions, and check your network connection. If you attempt to make a clip the first 1:30 of a VOD, you may experience an error or unpredictable behavior.

Past Broadcast

If you have enabled VOD storage (as noted in the Enabling VOD Storage section of this help article), you can view your Past Broadcasts here. Most Twitch Partners, Prime and Twitch Turbo users will have their past broadcasts saved for 60 days before being deleted.

If your bitrate is too low for the resolution and framerate settings you've selected, you may find that your image quality suffers. Conversely, too high a bitrate may cause issues with buffering or dropped frames for your viewers, or with your own bandwidth.

Managing Clips Settings

For example, you could choose to disable clips while streaming in the Just Chatting category but continue to publish clips when streaming in all other categories. You also have the option to limit clip creation to Followers-only or Subscriber-only.

If I use curse words occasionally during my stream do I need to apply the “Significant Profanity or Vulgarity” label? No, this label only needs to be applied if you are using profanity or vulgar language in a persistent and excessive manner throughout the duration of your stream.

Twitch services scan VODs as a proactive way to help broadcasters avoid having videos containing unauthorized audio. If copyrighted audio is detected in a VOD, we automatically mute that portion of the VOD.

How long do Twitch clips last? Saved clips on Twitch will not go away until you delete them. Automatically saved broadcasts stay up for 7 days or 60 days for Twitch Partners, Prime, and Twitch Turbo users.

Deleting clips is permanent, and cannot be undone.
